Waiting …

Tick …

Hopefully, Ed’s final surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, June 8th.  We will both be SO glad when this one is over and done.  The last time that Ed went to see Dr. John, he listened to Ed’s heart and said it sounded like his heart didn’t know whether to beat fast or slow or what.  When Ed went in Friday to have his blood checkup, the nurse explained to a trainee that Ed had atrial flutter and that his heart beat like this ALL of the time.  I sure hope that explains why he gets weak, out of breath, sleepy…

Tick-tock…

We finally got the inventory list for Nonnie’s probate.  Now we are waiting on her final tax filing.  Why does this process take so long???

Lee Scott now has his temporary crowns and is waiting up to 6 weeks for his permanent ones. (sigh)

Tick-tock … tick-tock…

That’s just for his upper teeth.  He hasn’t even gotten the temps for his bottom teeth yet.  I know we are in waiting mode right now, but even the temp on his top teeth look great and we LOVE to see him smile!  J

Tick-tock … tick-tock … tick…

They have drilled our first well across the street from Nonnie’s property and have been pumping gas.  Now we are just waiting for the first check to see how that well is doing.  We should know by the end of June but we’ve been waiting since the beginning of April for this step.

Tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock…

We keep waiting for Drake to come home and it has seemed like an eternity.  We really miss him!

I’m so waiting to become a grandmother!  Kim and Bob are still trying to adopt and I just can’t wait to spoil that child relentlessly!!!

Donnie’s hubby Curtis is having surgery on Tuesday.  I know what it’s like to wait for your spouse to feel good again.  The last few days are frustrating and never-ending.

Tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick …

Jennifer’s hubby Roger is having surgery sometime in June.  While waiting is hard, not knowing the outcome is frightening.  That tends to tie your stomach up in knots.

Tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock …

Jennifer’s daughter Peb is waiting to have her MRI. Jennifer is waiting to get rid of her infection so she can start radiation. Jennifer is waiting to have more genetic testing, which will also help Peb know what to expect in the future.

I can’t wait until our vacation in August!!!  We’re driving to South Carolina to spend a few days at the beach with family.  Woo-hoo!!!

Tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick …

Later in the year, we will be taking the trip that Nonnie couldn’t make last year: a river barge trip on the Danube and Rhine.  I am looking forward to seeing some of her old barge mates and drinking a toast to Nonnie.  We miss you, Mom!

Tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock …tick-tock …

I’m still waiting for all politicians to do what’s right for our country, our state, our county, our cities, and our communities.  Can’t people just work together and get things done?  Do politics and re-election have to be front and center in politician’s minds?  What ever happened to trust?

Tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick …

We are all waiting for the economy to get better and, for some, that may be the hardest wait of all!

Tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock … tick-tock …tick-tock … tick-tock …

We all seem to be just waiting…
